We explore what it means to build life outside the confines of conventional work and motherhood - both individually AND as a collective.
THE STORY.
Alycia started UNRAVEL studio in 2020 at the height of the global pandemic. It was an alternative to her in-person yoga classes with online lessons in yoga philosophy + methodology, plus weekly practices designed to fit modern-day schedules. By early 2021, this had become too much to balance alone - plus, she realized the “studio” was only part of the UNRAVEL framework.
The following summer, Kati joined the project to expand the vision for UNRAVEL, and together we collaborated on what would become the UNRAVEL your days podcast. We recorded 39 podcast episodes, published in 2022…
Until Alycia’s attention was pulled back to her family: They discovered mold in their rental home and began a long journey to healing from mold illness.
The podcast remained on hold until early 2024 when we started to clarify a new vision for the project.
UNRAVEL your journey asks questions about what it means for womxn to build an unconventional life.
It’s an invitation to move beyond what’s deemed possible for womxn (mothers or not) into greater consciousness and values-centric lives - for ourselves and with each other.
THE CREATORS.
Alycia Buenger
Alycia is a marketing copywriter for conscious womxn in business and a movement + meditation teacher for womxn who want to slow down. She loves reading novels of all kinds, making sourdough experiments in the kitchen, and visiting local parks + coffee shops. Alycia lives in Northwest Ohio with her husband and two kids.
Kati Overmier
Kati is a licensed clinical social worker providing individual therapy at her private practice. She loves singing to Broadway musicals, all things Harry Potter, geeking out about mental health breakthroughs.She likes to play video games, write fantasy, and spending time hanging out with her family. Kati lives outside Houston, Texas, with her partner and son.
